Agentic AI Engineering Intern

This internship offers hands-on experience in engineering and AI initiatives within a fast-paced energy and data center infrastructure company, focusing on developing automation solutions and gaining industry insights through collaborative projects and professional development.

• Survey multiple business units to identify pain points and opportunities for automation
• Prioritize pain points based on impact and feasibility
• Develop agentic AI-based solutions to address selected pain points
• Define requirements, data sources, success criteria, and architecture with stakeholders
• Develop, validate, and demonstrate automated AI solutions
• Deploy AI solutions into production with supporting documentation
• Prepare and deliver final reports and presentations to staff and leadership
• Meet regularly with supervisors and stakeholders to update progress

• Pursuing or holding a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong skills in Python programming, agentic workflow development, and/or model context protocol
• Interest or experience in automation, AI-enabled workflows, or data analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Availability to work on-site in Denver, CO
• Willingness to participate in a summer internship program with a focus on gaining hands-on experience in engineering and AI initiatives
• Capability to survey multiple business units to identify pain points and opportunities for automation

• Skill to select and develop agentic AI-based solutions, including defining requirements, data sources, success criteria, and architecture
• Experience in developing, validating, and demonstrating automated agentic AI solutions
• Ability to deploy solutions into a production environment with supporting documentation such as workflows, assumptions, limitations, and user instructions
• Competence to prepare and deliver a final report and presentation to SB Energy staff and leadership
• Willingness to meet regularly with supervisors and stakeholders
