Overview

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Associate Project Manager with potential to work out of Chicago, IL;
Denver, CO;
Exton, PA;
Phoenix, AZ; or Tampa, FL.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience managing a variety of projects. We seek a candidate comfortable providing direction on repairs, modifications, light construction, and technical direction on building/facilities projects.

Our ideal candidate will have experience overseeing repair, alteration, modification, or construction of small to medium, multi‑discipline projects from assignment to completion, close‑out, and turnover to the client. Projects typically last from a few days to a few weeks, and the incumbent must manage multiple concurrent assignments, including client/site communications, subcontractor cost solicitation and direction, scope review, project execution, deliverable collection and review, and pricing review.

  • Support review of scopes of work requests from client, subcontractor bid reviews and analysis, and preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
  • Manage projects (varied sizes) upon award of task orders.
  • Co‑ordinate subcontractors, including preparation of quotes and requisition requests.
  • Monitor budget and schedule, maintaining adherence to cost and delivery contractual commitments.
  • Document project tasks and delivery, preparing weekly status reports.
  • Maintain a weekly project/task log in a professional template.
  • Record and document significant verbal, telephone, and media messaging.
  • Perform quality control, documenting and resolving poor‑quality work, repair, installation, or materials selection by general contractors, trade disciplines, and suppliers.
  • Control change orders, applying detailed knowledge of contract requirements.
  • Ensure job safety and compliance with WSP and USPS SH&E requirements.
  • Interface with client contacts as required for the program.
  • Prepare and submittal project deliverable packages.
