The Project Management Project Engineer is an extremely valued team member who is responsible for providing support and assistance to Project Managers in the management of assigned Company projects. The Project Engineer works in partnership with Project Managers, and other departments, to ensure that projects are built on time and within budget and conform to the requirements of the contract documents.
The Project Engineer is also responsible for satisfying the objectives and goals of the operating and strategic plans of the Company.
$78,900.00 to $ annually
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure field compliance with contracts, regulatory and legal requirements by reviewing project documentation and communicating requirements to operations supervisors and staff.
- Assist in completion of project specific requirements as requested/needed by operations staff.
- Support the Project Managers in collecting and processing project submittal information.
- Generate and monitor Requests for Information (RFIs) and keep operations and project management staff informed of responses.
- Ensure accuracy of project reported quantities by way of field measurements.
- Assist Project Managers in change order pricing and monitor status.
- Monitor and communicate the status of project costs to Project Managers and operations.
- Support the Project Managers in preparation of monthly project billings.
- Monitor and report project information as required by the client, operations and project management staff.
- Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences and/or errors.
- Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as status reports, punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc., to the project team.
- Assist Project Managers in preparation of information verifying project performance and presentation of project performance to Company management/executives/owners.
- Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure project activities comply with Company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
- Provide technical support for the construction effort including participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts and constructability reviews.
- Represent the Company, the project and the Department during client and project management meetings.
- Support on‑site teams as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedule.
- Support an environment that encourages open, honest and appropriate communication and transparency, leading to a shared understanding of all key issues and enabling informed decision making.
- Take full ownership of each assignment, shepherding it through to successful completion, working in close collaboration with all involved parties.
- Demonstrate professional communications skills and communicate in a manner that provides clear direction and quality leadership.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems.
