About the Role
Lockheed Martin Space, Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) TMK2 Program, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and/or assist in Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, development and execution of the program Electrical Electronic Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management plan.
- Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.
- Participate in selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
- Prepare technical and progress reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
- Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Work on components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
- Travel to work with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet quality and performance requirements.
- Experience and/or knowledge in design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, operation of devices such as relays, hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
- Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEE parts.
- Willingness/eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics, or related field.
- Familiarity with technical requirements specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.
- Experience participating in major program milestone reviews (PDR, CDR).
- Basic understanding of nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work with Survivability Engineers on hardening.
- Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
- Basic understanding of worst‑case analysis (WCA), EEE part derating and end‑of‑life requirements.
- Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.
- Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root‑cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts.
- Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).
- Active or current Secret clearance or higher.
This position requires a government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
CompensationThe annual base salary range is $70,100 – $123,625 for applicable states. For unlisted states, the range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
