This role will lead and manage hydrogeological projects from inception to completion. The role is responsible for designing and implementing field investigations, analyzing data, and developing models to understand groundwater systems. Expertise is required to support environmental assessments, water resource management, and remediation projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Participate in hydrogeologic investigations including groundwater supply development, aquifer testing, water quality, and water budget analyses
- Conduct field work such as well drilling and well construction observation, water‑level measurements, pumping and slug tests, sampling, streamflow measurements, and site reconnaissance
- Design and interpret pumping tests and slug tests
- Analyze hydrogeological data to evaluate groundwater flow, quality, and contamination
- Develop and calibrate groundwater models using specialized software
- Prepare and present technical reports and findings to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental and water resource projects
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior hydro geologists and engineers
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Certified Hydrogeologist (CHG) certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in hydrogeology or a related field. Experience with environmental site assessments and remediation projects preferred
- Strong understanding of groundwater flow, water quality parameters, and surface water–groundwater interaction
- Proficiency with a variety of data analysis software
- Experience in evaluating water quality parameters and groundwater contamination
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Must be willing to travel for fieldwork

The pay range for this position is $72,000-$100,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects salaries for the position based in our Colorado locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job‑related skills.
