Aquionix, Inc. is seeking a full-time Air Quality Consultant or Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in the permitting and compliance field to join our growing Lakewood, Colorado office.
This position will have the opportunity to work with our manufacturing customers and several small to mid-size oil and gas operators in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana supporting customer air quality permitting and compliance needs. If the candidate is an engineer working towards their PE, they will receive service years towards their 4 year work experience requirement under an Aquionix PE.
Responsibilities- Preparation of APENs and APEN updates
- Upkeep of 12-month rolling emission logs
- CO, WY, and MT oil and gas air permitting and compliance
- Recordkeeping and reporting for LDAR programs under CDPHE Reg. No. 7
- Oil and gas air permitting and compliance in accordance with Regulation No. 7
- NSPS OOOO and NSPS OOOOa reporting
- GHG reporting
- Project management for several smaller clients, including invoice review and proposal development
- Safe operation of a company vehicle on public roads and client sites (day and night)
- Performing site visits in support of air permitting activities, internal auditing and inventory upkeep, and state inspections
- General regulatory compliance assistance related to the CWA, RCRA, SPCC/FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC, CAA and related interpretation, research, regulatory liaison and reporting requirements
- Drafting stormwater management plans, SPCC plans, providing support/review of waste program/plan development
- Regulatory compliance auditing
- Technical and regulatory research and applicability determination of various air-related requirements
- Preparation of technical documents, including compliance procedures, plans and permit applications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science or a related field is required.
Qualifications- 2-5 years of experience in the field of air compliance
- Experience with permitting and compliance under Regulation No. 3 and Regulation No. 7 in Colorado
- Experience with GHG and NSPS OOOOa reporting for the oil and gas industry
- Have performed oil and gas air permitting and compliance in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming
- Familiarity with Colorado’s CEOS platform and Wyoming’s IMPACT platform
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Be a self-motivated, detail oriented, creative/flexible problem solver with the ability to successfully manage projects to completion
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with a large variety of clientele
The successful candidate must have a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
