Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Roadway Discipline Leader to build and lead a roadway practice in our Denver, CO office. The Discipline Leader provides strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple Groups and ensures alignment of project execution with organizational goals while leading business development initiatives to support growth and profitability.
Responsibilities- Build, lead and manage multiple Teams and their respective leaders, ensuring consistent execution of projects and services.
- Align organizational goals with project delivery strategies, resource allocation, and client expectations.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria and research large or complex project elements.
- Act as a Project Manager for large or complex assignments, interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating delivery.
- Serve as technical specialist in the development of multiple discipline proposals.
- Provide QA/QC reviews.
- Supervise a staff of technical professionals and other specialists.
- Mentor, develop, and build staff, fostering growth in technical and project management capabilities.
- Work closely with clients to ensure satisfaction and support business development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil Engineering preferred) from an accredited university, or 15+ years of experience with freight facility & industry developments.
- Colorado P.E. Required.
- Proven expertise in highway bridge design and construction project delivery.
- Extensive experience with CDOT and local public agencies in Colorado.
- Prior supervision of staff and desire to build and grow a team.
- Experience with Micro Station/Bentley ORD and related software is an asset.
- Strong skills in preparing technical reports, design summaries, and documentation to support project deliverables and stakeholder communications.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver results.
The salary range for this role is $240,000 - $265,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
