Position: Entry- to Mid-Level Staff Acoustical Consultant

D. L. Adams Associates is a consulting engineering and design firm specializing in sight and sound, with expertise in acoustics, audio-video design, and theatre consulting. With offices in Denver, Colorado;
Kailua, Hawaii; and Kansas City, Kansas, we have proudly delivered projects across all 50 states and all 7 continents. Our services encompass acoustics, environmental noise assessment, noise control, and comprehensive theatre consulting for performing arts facilities. Known for our precision, we provide architectural acoustics solutions, ranging from room acoustics and sound isolation to mechanical noise and vibration control. We bring a collaborative and experienced approach to delivering high-quality solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO, for an Entry- to Mid-Level Staff Acoustical Consultant. Responsibilities include conducting field measurements, noise assessments, and acoustical analyses, as well as preparing technical reports and recommendations. You will collaborate with senior consultants and clients, participate in project design processes, and develop solutions for architectural acoustics, environmental noise control, and related areas.

The role also involves client interaction, providing technical guidance, and ensuring project documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in acoustical analyses, environmental noise control, and sound isolation
  • Basic understanding of mechanical system noise control
  • Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills
  • Experience with field measurements and associated software tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Prior consulting experience or internships in acoustics or related fields with a m inimum 2 years of experience
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet project deadlines
Compensation
  • Competitive compensation aligned with the Denver AEC market. Salary range $65,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.
