Metric Geo is working with a well-established contractor in Denver, CO, to hire an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding efforts across complex civil projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio including highways, bridges, airfields, rail, and large-scale infrastructure projects, with strong involvement in both public and private sector work.
The RoleeYou will play a key part in the bidding process, leading or supporting estimates across multiple heavy civil disciplines. This includes developing accurate cost models, managing subcontractor outreach, and working closely with operations teams to deliver competitive and strategic proposals

- ks Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracto
- rs Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier prici
- ngLead or support the development of multidisciplinary estimates across structures, grading, paving, and utiliti
- es Prepare RFIs and clarify scope with owners and stakeholde
- rs Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategie
- es Collaborate with operations teams to align estimates with field execution pla
- ns Support bid strategy, proposal development, and final submissio
- ns Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal estimate revie
- ws Assist with post-bid activities including buyouts and budget set
- For Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferr
- ed)5+ years of experience in estimating or project management within heavy civil construct
- ion Experience across infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, grading, drainage, or concrete wo
- rks Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, and sequenc
- ing Proficiency in estimating tools (HCSS preferred), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Off
- ice Experience with AGTEK or scheduling software is a p
