$30hr (Weekly pay + Benefits)

6 month (Excellent potential for extension or permanent)

Full-time M-F:
Flexible start time between 7am-9am start

Are you a recent graduate or currently in school for engineering/mechanical engineering or similar and seeking experience in mechanical assembly and test engineering prototype? If so, please apply!

Our client is a global team of innovators, leaders, creators, builders, and problem solvers. They develop state-of-the-art instruments and reagents for life science research laboratories and healthcare facilities all over the world. Together they are helping people everywhere live longer, healthier lives! Candidates can expect to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enable development of next generation life science instruments. They will assemble and test engineering prototype instruments alongside a diverse R&D team.

They will also perform testing and analysis of components and systems to validate research and correlate mechanical models. Candidates may also have the opportunity to perform root-cause investigations on systems and components to correct problems and improve product quality and reliability.

What excites you:
  • Mechanically assemble electro-mechanical fluidic instruments from sub assembly through complete instrument
  • generate and release engineering documentation (initial assembly procedures, installation instructions, test reports, etc.) to support the development and manufacture of world class life science instruments.
  • procure, track, stock, and kit instrument components.
  • set up and maintain assembly stations, tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and test fixtures.
What excites us:
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering technology or Higher Degree; or working towards Engineering degree.

  • 1+ yrs of experience in Mechanical, Engineering, instrumental assembly OR college recent college grads with related degree OR college students studying engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of and application of principles and theories of engineering.
  • General understanding of instrument assembly.
  • CAD experience, Solid Works experience is a plus.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. (18kg).
  • Problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Strong communication, technical, and computer skills.
  • Coordination, tact and teamwork.
