Job DescriptionCDM Smith is looking for an entry‑level Environmental Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Denver! This position offers recent graduates an opportunity to apply engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities- Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
- Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters as needed, and perform water‑quality analyses and modeling.
- Ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
- Assist in creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software tools.
- Participate in fieldwork supporting construction‑management activities, providing a comprehensive project lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (equivalent directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Zero (0) years of professional experience required.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency will depend on project demands.
- Basic knowledge of computer‑assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles of design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good verbal and written communication ability.
10% of the time; domestic and/or international travel may be required depending on project demands.
Pay Range$59,426 – $98,051
