Environmental Field Technician – Emergency Response & Remediation

Location: Denver Metro Area (including Boulder)

Schedule: Monday–Friday (on‑call availability for emergency response as needed)

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and safety‑driven Environmental Field Technician to join a team supporting emergency response efforts and environmental remediation projects across the Denver metro area. This is a hands‑on role ideal for individuals who thrive in fast‑paced, field‑based environments and are comfortable working with hazardous materials.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond to environmental emergencies, including spills and hazardous material releases

  • Perform site cleanup, decontamination, and hazardous waste removal

  • Handle and prepare hazardous materials for transport and disposal in accordance with regulations

  • Assist with equipment and site decontamination to eliminate chemical or toxic exposure

  • Support emergency Haz Mat operations using specialized tools and protective equipment

  • Contribute to industrial support tasks such as Firewatch and lead paint remediation

  • Complete detailed daily reports documenting work performed, materials used, and equipment activity

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements at all times

Work Environment
  • Field‑based role working at industrial sites, chemical facilities, and active job locations

  • Exposure to physically demanding conditions and potentially hazardous environments

  • Required use of PPE and compliance with all safety procedures

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Active HAZWOPER certification (required)

  • Valid, reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass a Haz Mat physical

  • Must be clean‑shaven to meet respirator requirements

  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work in hazardous conditions

  • Strong focus on safety, detail, and following procedures

Equipment & Gear
  • Steel‑toed boots required (employee‑provided)

  • Company provides PPE including hard hat, safety vest, eye protection, and respirator

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in environmental services, hazardous materials handling, or remediation work

  • Prior work in industrial, refinery, or chemical plant settings

  • Familiarity with emergency response or site cleanup operations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is US $23.00 - US $25.00/hr.
