Position: Technical Program Manager, AWS Ground Station, Aerospace Solutions (AES)

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across product, program, engineering, hardware, software, and infrastructure teams to manage requirements, scope, and delivery of worldwide AWS Ground Station features and locations.
  • Represent the service architecture and technical needs across Amazon, including spectrum licensing.
  • Assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, and make difficult trade‑off decisions while managing cost and schedule to drive deployment goals and meet customer commitments.
  • Represent program status to senior leadership and influence teams’ decisions to drive secure and scalable solutions.
  • Own planning and execution of a new service, managing cross‑team and cross‑organization development and delivery, and participating in architecture decisions and design reviews.
Requirements
  • Must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI level. Upon start, the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLA's used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with network, system, or software architecture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non‑technical leaders.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
