Additive Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

This role focuses on working closely with customers and internal teams to develop metal additive manufacturing solutions. You will support build preparation, run simulations, and help ensure products meet quality standards. The position blends hands-on engineering, customer interaction, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

+ Work with customers and internal teams to understand needs and recommend solutions

+ Prepare and optimize metal 3D printing (L-PBF) builds, including setup and process planning

+ Run simulations to improve build quality and efficiency

+ Support product development from concept through production

+ Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, AS9100, ISO 9001)

+ Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and recommendations to customers

+ Contribute to new product development initiatives

+ Help manage projects, track progress, and communicate updates

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production)

+ Document builds, simulations, and results

Required Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

+ 4+ years of relevant experience, including customer interaction

+ Strong experience with metal additive manufacturing (L-PBF)

+ Experience running simulations for additive processes

+ Background in product development or engineering (mechanical, applications, etc.)

+ Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers

+ Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, AS9100, ISO 9001)

+ Strong project coordination and organizational skills

Additional Skills

+ Experience in a customer-facing engineering role

+ Knowledge of laser-based additive manufacturing systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
