Dewberry has an opportunity for a Water/Wastewater CADD Technician to join our Water/Wastewater Group in our Denver, CO office. This individual will participate with the Civil Design team working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals.

This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation for civil and wastewater facilities projects. Work activities may include grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting for conceptual, preliminary, and final design drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates closely with Civil Engineers to translate design concepts into detailed 3D surfaces, alignments, corridors, and complex pipe/pressure networks for water, sewer, stormwater, and open channel infrastructure and site civil design.
  • Coordinates with Civil Engineers to develop proposed grading plans and digital terrain models to ensure optimal site functionality, drainage (including open channel and drop structure design), and erosion control.
  • Prepares comprehensive construction drawing sets, including plans, profiles, cross‑sections, erosion control, and technical details for water, sewer, stormwater, and open channel infrastructure and site civil design.
  • Processes survey data and incorporates GIS or record drawings into active project models.
  • Works closely with Civil Engineer.
  • Uses AutoCAD Civil 3D (Surfaces, Pipe Networks, & Grading tools) and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Familiarity with GIS files; experience with Autodesk Forma and Bluebeam Revu for digital markups.
  • Interprets engineering redlines and maintains high QA/QC standards.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a CADD designer (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
  • Civil and wastewater emphasis preferred.
  • High school diploma, A.A. degree in drafting, design, or related field preferred.
  • Experience using current versions of AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create surfaces, alignments, and profiles.
  • High attention to detail, good organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a team environment.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $29–$34 per hour ($60,000–$70,000 annually). The range may vary slightly depending on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
