** Location & Schedule
** In this position you will report to the Denver Wastewater Building (2000 W. 3rd) at the beginning and end of your workday. While you are in the field, you will use a company provided vehicle and will work at various locations across the City. Typical working hours are 6:30-3:00pm.

Wastewater Management oversees all aspects of wastewater functions, including the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City’s sanitary and storm systems, and responding to customer inquiries regarding sewage and storm drainage service charges.
The Wastewater Management Division has an opening for a
** Wastewater Quality Control Technician**. This position will perform and support the sampling, flow monitoring, and data reporting functions that contribute to the Wastewater Industrial Waste Program, sewer capacity determinations, and water quality permit compliance.
Specifically as a Wastewater Quality Control Technician you will:
* Collect a variety of liquids and materials according to regulatory requirements and good laboratory practice standards to ensure compliance with governmental and environmental regulations and engineering and construction specifications
* Engage with the public and engage with interdepartmental communication.
* Operate, maintain, calibrate, and program a variety of measuring devices
* Determine what type of data is needed for collection and/or measurement based on regulatory protocols
* Conduct routine to difficult field analyses of bacteriological/environmental samples in storm water and investigate and identify the sources of storm water pollution using standardized procedures
* Perform flow measurements on sanitary and storm water and sample sanitary sewage for industrial waste
