Environmental Technician

Job Description

Environmental Technician – Denver, CO. The Environmental Technician supports the Project Manager in remedial operations, maintenance, and monitoring projects throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, and other locations. The role involves general construction and environmental remediation/sampling with hands‑on mechanical tasks.

• Performs routine fieldwork (environmental multi‑media sampling, equipment operations, maintenance, and inspection) under close supervision.
• Performs routine tasks in support of project staff.
• Operates and maintains groundwater remediation systems, performs recovery system maintenance, collects groundwater samples to monitor performance, and compiles field data.
• Sets up and operates equipment, inspects equipment and installations for compliance, and maintains proper project documentation.
• Requires OSHA 40‑hour hazardous site worker training.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• US citizenship required; no sponsorship.
• Passes a pre‑employment substance abuse test.
• Subject to pre‑employment criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.

• Ability to obtain the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 30 days of hire.
• Mechanical skills and hands‑on skills.
• Experience with media sampling (soil, groundwater, waste).
• Experience with health and safety programs and effective communication skills.
• OSHA 40‑hour training.
