Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Denver, CO.
- Perform geotechnical analysis for the design of tailings and water storage facilities, tailings dams, and other mining infrastructure
- Perform advanced numerical modeling of tailings dams, including deformation analysis using related geotechnical modeling software
- Develop MPM code to model and interpolate materials runout behavior
- Perform geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, seepage, and slope stability among others, using geotechnical software
- Assist with the development drawings, specifications, and calculation packages
- Prepare technical reports and presentations of evaluation results for the clients and Review Boards
- 10% domestic travel required
- Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, Civil Engineer, or in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study with no experience.
