We're partnered with an innovative aerospace company developing advanced autonomous vehicles and robotic systems designed to operate in some of the most challenging environments imaginable. As a Systems Engineer – GNC
, you'll work at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, software, and systems engineering to help define, integrate, and verify the technologies that enable intelligent vehicles to navigate and operate independently.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge autonomy programs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams solving complex engineering challenges.

The Opportunity

As a Systems Engineer focused on Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), you'll play a critical role in defining requirements, managing interfaces, supporting verification efforts, and ensuring autonomy software integrates seamlessly with vehicle hardware and subsystems.

You'll work closely with autonomy, software, avionics, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams to develop robust solutions capable of operating in highly dynamic and unstructured environments.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support the development and documentation of autonomous navigation, control, and decision-making systems
  • Participate in systems engineering activities including:
    • Requirements development and decomposition
    • Requirements traceability
    • Interface definition and management
    • Verification & Validation (V&V)
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including:
    • Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
    • Verification plans
    • Test documentation
  • Support milestone reviews such as:
    • SRR
    • PDR
    • CDR
  • Participate in trade studies and technical risk assessments
  • Work closely with software, avionics, electrical, mechanical, and systems teams to integrate autonomy solutions
  • Analyze test and operational data to improve system performance and reliability
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop and field-testing activities
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance development efficiency and product quality
  • Ensure systems are developed in accordance with industry best practices for safety and reliability
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience supporting autonomy, robotics, GNC, or autonomous vehicle programs
  • Experience working with:
    • Navigation systems
    • Localization systems
    • Perception systems
    • Control systems
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and product development life cycles
  • Experience supporting requirements management and verification activities
  • Strong programming experience with:
    • C++
    • Python
  • Familiarity with ROS and robotic software architectures
  • Experience integrating software with sensors, actuators, or embedded systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • U.S. Person status required
Preferred Experience
  • Master's or PhD in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • Autonomous vehicle, robotics, aerospace, or advanced mobility systems experience
  • GPS-denied navigation systems
  • SLAM and localization technologies
  • Planning and decision-making frameworks
  • State estimation and sensor fusion concepts
  • GPU acceleration or FPGA integration
  • Real-time operating systems
  • Safety-critical software standards such as:
    • MISRA
    • DO-178
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments
