Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to grow? We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Technical Lead to serve as a subject matter expert on complex HVAC systems. This individual will take ownership of system design, lead engineering initiatives, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in shaping technical direction across the organization.

Responsibilities- Be the subject matter expert of mechanical engineering and conduct in‑depth engineering studies and create system designs that prioritize longevity and solve the root cause of mechanical issues.
- Take on a lead role, mentoring another mechanical engineer, signing mechanical designs, and helping guide the direction of the team.
- Go beyond standard replacement design by evaluating sequences of operation, control strategies, and BAS/DDC integration to enhance system efficiency and building performance.
- Partner with the sales team in client meetings, serving as the technical authority to build credibility, explain system strategies, and guide customers toward the best long‑term solutions.
- Stay current with emerging HVAC technologies, system architectures, and energy strategies to ensure designs remain forward‑thinking and adaptable.
- 6+ years of experience in HVAC design, with a focus on commercial retrofit and mechanical system infrastructure, with a focus on constructability, maintainability, and long‑term service access.
- 2+ years performing field assessments of existing MEP systems, validating real‑world conditions and identifying performance gaps across central plants, airside systems, and distribution networks.
- 2+ years executing comprehensive heating and cooling load calculations to properly size equipment such as chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and air handling systems, ensuring optimal performance without over‑design.
- Excellent AutoCAD software design skills and Revit MEP.
- Solid understanding of mechanical codes, energy codes, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact cross‑functionally across the organization and with clients.
- Complex facility experience across a wide range of commercial and mission‑critical environments, including office buildings, healthcare facilities, laboratories, manufacturing plants, and data centers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in any state.
Compensation will be commensurate with your experience, but expect a competitive base, incentives, and benefits.
