Wireless Network Core Engineer
Apex Systems is currently looking for Wireless Network Core Engineer to join a well-established client in the Denver area. This resource would need to be located in Denver, CO, or able to relocate to Denver, CO.
Position:
Wireless Network Core Engineer
Location:
Denver, CO (will be working a hybrid schedule 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH)
Estimated Duration: 6 months, with high likelihood to extend or convert
Job Overview:
- Responsible for network support and troubleshoot of 5G core network issues.
- Plays a key role in providing Tier-3 support in resolving 5G core networks issues reported from preproduction as well as production issues.
- Must have complete understanding of 5G call flows and experience in troubleshooting 5G core subsystem elements.
- Knowledge in routers, gateways, Docker containers and Kubernetes.
- Testing, recreating issues and troubleshooting lab and field reported tickets.
Open to 7 years’ experience or more.
Requirements:
- Supporting 5G gNB, Modem/Smallcell functional and troubleshooting
- Excellent knowledge in virtualization platforms, Dockers and Kubernetes – MUST HAVE
- Excellent industry knowledge and theoretical understanding of 3
GPP, IEEE 802.11 - Experience in testing and troubleshooting IP core network and E2E call flows.
- Excellent problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills of 5G Core Network Architecture and interfaces and troubleshooting skills in 5G Core Interfaces (N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, N8, N10, N12…) 5G RAN components as RRU, DU/CU for vRAN configuration
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Professional level certification or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience 7+ years of professional experience in an MSO/ISP Networking operations support or Engineering
Primary Location US-Colorado-GREENWOOD VILLAGE.
