From designing resilient highways and iconic bridges to advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure, your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, sustainable and resilient communities, and quality of life.
Join HDR’s growing multimodal team in downtown Denver and help shape the future of mobility across Colorado. As a Multimodal Transportation EIT, you’ll collaborate with industry‑leading planners and engineers to design safer, more connected transit, bicycle, and pedestrian networks. From BRT corridors to protected bike lanes and walkable streets, you’ll contribute to projects that strengthen communities and elevate multi‑modal transportation statewide.
Responsibilities- Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
- Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction cost estimates.
- Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Proficient with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Concept Station and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
