Project Engineer, Environmental Engineer

The Engineer II / Project Manager Engineering II is responsible for managing capital engineering projects from initiation through completion (“cradle to grave”). These roles support either base capital projects at existing generation facilities (natural gas and coal) or strategic capital initiatives involving large, complex projects such as renewable energy systems and major infrastructure upgrades. Both positions require strong technical engineering knowledge combined with project management expertise to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and timely project execution.

• Lead full lifecycle project management including scope development, execution, and closeou
• Validate project justification and ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into scop
• Manage project budget, schedule, quality, and safety performanc
• Coordinate procurement activities including hiring engineering consultants, contractors, and ordering materials/equipmen
• Oversee project execution and conduct periodic field visits to monitor progres
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements for vendors, contractors, and supplier
• Review and support design documentation and engineering drawing
• Conduct vendor/shop inspections and witness equipment testing when neede
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, environmental, sourcing, project controls, and engineering team
• Facilitate project closeout and transition to operations team

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline
• 5–7+ years of engineering experience (preferred for Level II roles
• Minimum 2+ years of project management experienc
• Experience in utility, energy, or oil & gas industries preferre
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP (preferred

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completio
• Project Management Professional (PMP) – nice to hav
• Professional Engineer (PE) – beneficial for long-term growt
