DescriptionAquionix provides environmental, health, and safety consulting to mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, and general industry clients. We're known for solutions that exceed customer expectations — and we're growing our Lakewood, CO team.
We're looking for an experienced air quality compliance professional to lead permitting and compliance work for our manufacturing and oil & gas clients across Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, while mentoring a team of project managers and environmental engineers.

Job Functions Core responsibilities- Lead and mentor the Air Compliance team (Senior PMs, PMs, and early-career environmental professionals)
- Prepare and oversee air quality permits:
Title V, PSD, APENs and updates - Manage CO/WY oil and gas air permitting and compliance work
- Interpret and implement CDPHE Regulation 7 requirements
- Oversee emission inventory tools, rolling emission logs, and estimate calculators
- Handle NSPS OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb reporting and LDAR recordkeeping under Reg. 7
- Air modeling support (Promax, Aeromod)
- GHG and TRI reporting
- Broader EHS compliance (CWA, RCRA, SPCC/FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC)
- Stormwater and SPCC plan drafting, compliance auditing
Client site visits for permitting, plan review, and audits
- 6+ years of experience in air compliance consulting or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience with Title V and PSD permitting
- Working knowledge of Colorado Regulation 3 and Regulation 7
- Strong written and verbal communication — you can explain technical requirements clearly to clients and regulators
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and mentoring junior staff
- GHG reporting experience (manufacturing or oil & gas)
- NSPS OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb reporting experience
- PE or PG license
- Familiarity with Share Point
Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or a related technical field. We'll also consider equivalent professional experience in place of a specific degree.
