Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the generation of oil and gas prospects, the evaluation of new and existing drilling opportunities, and the development and supervision of an active drilling program throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Qualified candidates will be experienced in detailed geologic mapping, effective play potential characterization, core/well log interpretation, and well planning/operations. Candidates should be current on all applicable technologies and able to handle a high volume of data.
The role requires teamwork with drilling, land, regulatory, and engineering personnel to take prospects from concept through completion in a fast‑paced drilling program. Familiarity with computer‑based geological applications and excellent presentation skills are also required.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geophysics;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum 5 years of related oil and gas experience.
- Prospecting experience in a variety of structural and strati graphic styles is desired.
- Proven ability to incorporate geology and engineering data to determine horizontal development locations and reservoir evaluation.
- Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
