This position applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to the creation and modification of site development plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using industry standard tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. The Senior Technician provides technical guidance, consultation, and training to technicians and engineering staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to design standards. This role may coordinate and oversee assigned technicians, supporting both conceptual and detailed design activities to deliver efficient, accurate, and mission aligned civil solutions.

Job Summary:

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions
• Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
• Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards

Education:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required.
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
