Senior Mechanical Engineer - Gas & Energy

Position SummaryAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design of mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure projects, with a focus on gas piping for utility‑scale generators, combined heat and power (CHP) systems, and emerging energy technologies. You will guide mechanical engineering design teams, produce high‑quality construction documents in AutoCAD or Revit, manage project schedules, and collaborate closely with other disciplines to create highly integrated designs.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineers and clients as part of an integrated design process.
- Create and coordinate drawings and documentation using AutoCAD or Revit.
- Perform mechanical calculations and gas piping calculations with code research.
- Write and review specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
- Conduct site visits as needed.
- Manage mechanical project teams and interdisciplinary project teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems, central utility plants, plumbing, fire suppression, and gas piping.
- Working knowledge of the design and construction process and ability to communicate across disciplines.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with BIM and advanced Revit workflow.
- Experience with P&t.
- Experience with fuel systems and generator integration.
- Experience using PIPE‑FLO, Smart Plant, or AutoCAD Plant 3D.

CompensationPay range: $84,700 – $118,800 USD.
