Automation Engineer

Position Summary
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning automated control systems for a wide range of industrial applications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems for client projects.
- Perform system integration including hardware configuration, software programming, and testing.
- Work with clients to define functional requirements and develop detailed control system documentation.
- Create electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architecture diagrams.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Provide on-site installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
- Integrate robotics, motion control, and vision systems into manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, process, and IT) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure all systems comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Offer ongoing technical support, training, and documentation for clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Automation Engineering are a plus.
3+ years of experience in automation engineering, controls, or systems integration.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron).
Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC, or similar).
Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.).
Knowledge of robotics integration, motion control, and vision systems are a plus.
Ability to interpret and design electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel as needed for on-site commissioning and client support.
Certifications such as ISA CAP, Rockwell, Siemens, or GE are a plus.
