Seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of MEP consulting experience to lead and support electrical systems design on diverse building types. You will work within an agile, project-specific team alongside mechanical, plumbing, technology, lighting, and sustainability specialists.
Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering design from schematic through construction documents on commercial, institutional, sports, and mixed-use projects
- Design power distribution, lighting, emergency/standby systems, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Develop construction documents and specifications using Revit MEP
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines using BIM
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and energy modeling support
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) or support EOR on permitted projects
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Engage directly with clients, architects, and contractors throughout project delivery
- Support commissioning and construction administration phases
- 6+ years of electrical engineering experience in an MEP consulting firm
- Proficiency in Revit MEP (required)
- Strong command of NEC, IBC, NFPA 70, and applicable local codes
- Experience with power systems, lighting design, emergency power, and low-voltage/technology systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with sports venues, arenas, or large assembly occupancies
- Familiarity with AV/broadcast, acoustics, or technology systems coordinationLEED AP or sustainability-focused project experience
- Experience with lighting design or coordination with specialty lighting teams
