Salary: $75K - $105K per year (based on experience)

Description: Aquionix, Inc. is growing, and we're looking for an Air Quality Project Manager to join our Lakewood, Colorado team. You'll lead air permitting and compliance work for oil and gas clients — including APEN preparation, Regulation No. 7 LDAR programs, GHG reporting, and NSPS OOOOa compliance — while mentoring a team of environmental engineers and professionals.

Job Functions:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare APENs and APEN updates
  • Manage Colorado and Wyoming oil and gas air permitting and compliance
  • Oversee recordkeeping and reporting for LDAR programs under CDPHE Regulation No. 7
  • Complete GHG and NSPS OOOOa reporting
  • Manage projects for small to medium-sized clients, including invoice review and proposal development
  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental engineers and professionals

Additional responsibilities (as experience applies):

  • General regulatory compliance support related to CWA, RCRA, SPCC/FRP, EPCRA, CERCLA, UIC, and CAA
  • Draft stormwater management plans and SPCC plans; support waste program development
  • Conduct regulatory compliance audits
  • Research and determine applicability of air-related requirements
  • Prepare technical documents: compliance procedures, plans, and permit applications
What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in air compliance
  • Experience with GHG and NSPS OOOOa reporting for oil and gas
  • Experience with oil and gas air permitting/compliance in Colorado or Wyoming
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or environmental science
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable working with a wide range of clients
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage projects to completion

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Additional experience in Montana and/or North Dakota oil and gas air permitting
  • Working toward PE licensure — Aquionix offers qualifying service-year credit toward the 4-year PE experience requirement
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior staff
Education:

Education:

A bachelor degree in engineering is preferred; however, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental science will also be considered.
