Electrical PE – Transmission & Substation Engineering

We are seeking a licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) to support high-voltage transmission and substation projects with a leading energy infrastructure organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical utility projects while taking technical ownership and contributing to long-term system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Engineer of Record
    , providing stamped engineering designs for transmission or substation projects
  • Develop and review engineering deliverables in compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE
    , and utility standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and project management
  • Support project execution including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support proposal development
Qualifications
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in utility / power delivery engineering
  • Strong experience in transmission line design or substation engineering
  • Proficiency with industry tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or substation design platforms)
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE)
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts
  • $125K – $190K base salary (guaranteed)
  • Day-one benefits + PTO based on total industry experience
