Electrical PE – Transmission & Substation Engineering
We are seeking a licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) to support high-voltage transmission and substation projects with a leading energy infrastructure organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical utility projects while taking technical ownership and contributing to long-term system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as Engineer of Record
, providing stamped engineering designs for transmission or substation projects - Develop and review engineering deliverables in compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE
, and utility standards - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and project management
- Support project execution including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support proposal development
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in utility / power delivery engineering
- Strong experience in transmission line design or substation engineering
- Proficiency with industry tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or substation design platforms)
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE)
- Ability to work independently and lead technical efforts
- $125K – $190K base salary (guaranteed)
