Utility Planning Project Manager - (192159)
This position will be responsible for managing master planning, design, and construction projects for water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Candidates should be engaged in the water/wastewater engineering industry, working closely with clients and internal staff to deliver successful projects throughout Colorado.
Responsibilities- Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations, including project management activities to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
- Market and deliver services to existing and potential clients.
- Lead project teams and deliver designs for pipelines and pump stations.
- Lead project teams and deliver master plans for wastewater collection and water distribution systems.
- Commit to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
- Schedule, assign, and review work of project team members.
- Project management experience with the delivery of master plans for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
- Ability to coordinate the work of team members and provide direction to advance overall project goals.
- Interest in business development and client relationships.
- Excellent communications, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Active engagement in professional and industry organizations such as Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association and Rocky Mountain Section of American Water Works Association.
- Excellent team player capable of functioning effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teams.
- Preferred experience in mentoring junior staff.
- Knowledge of GIS platforms such as Esri.
- Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software platforms from Innovyze, Bentley, and Aqua Twin.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 7 years related experience, including a minimum of 2 years in project management.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Experience with MS Office and MS Project.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.
