Licensed Stormwater Project Manager/Team Leader

Freese and Nichols is currently seeking a highly motivated Licensed Stormwater Project Manager/Team Leader to lead complex flood resilience projects in our growing Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in Info Works ICM, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) with strong project management experience. This role represents the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to the continued growth of our Colorado business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the Colorado Stormwater Team
• Serve as Project Manager on projects utilizing HEC-RAS (1D/2D) and Info Works ICM modeling, including oversight and review of modeling work
• Ensure quality client service, clarity of work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints
• Direct, supervise, and mentor engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians
• Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality across project teams
• Determine and schedule required project resources; evaluate project decisions to ensure sound engineering judgment and consideration of impacts to scope, schedule, and budget
• Remain current on applicable regulations, standards, and technological advancements
• Support business development efforts including client engagement, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and project interviews
• Participate in technical presentations, professional organizations, and industry events

Qualifications:

• 6+ years in stormwater management
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within three (3) months of hire
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Experience with stormwater masterplans, GIS, technical writing
• Experience with Info Works ICM modeling, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 2D
