Job Title
Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Senior Associate, Engineering/Geologist/Scientist in Denver, CO. The role involves working on remediation projects, conducting fieldwork, and supporting system optimization. Candidates should have a relevant degree and up to two years of experience. Responsibilities include data evaluation, report preparation, and compliance with regulations. This position requires driving to project sites and emphasizes safety and effective communication.
Responsibilities- Conduct field work, including remediation system operation and maintenance (O&M), sampling, drilling, well installation, remedial pilot tests, and construction oversight.
- Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical remediation systems and manage subcontractors doing the same.
- Develop standard operating procedures.
- Support remediation system optimization.
- Assist in groundwater and system performance monitoring.
- Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
- Prepare environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
- Driving to/from client or project sites is an expectation of the position.
- Bachelor in chemical, civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering; geology; environmental science or related degree.
- 1+ years of directly applicable environmental consulting or related professional experience and environmental field work experience.
- Ability to work/conduct field assignments.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established health and safety protocols.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting/problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Previous remediation equipment operations and maintenance (O&M) experience.
- Experience recording/writing detailed field notes, technical data, and reports.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- Local candidates preferred.
For the Consulting Senior Associate, Engineering/Geologist/Scientist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $60,045 – $66,884 USD. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
