This full-time, on-site Senior Engineer role is based in Denver, CO. The Senior Engineer will lead and manage engineering infrastructure, solid waste, mining, and environmental remediation projects. Responsibilities include preparing technical reports and design documents, reviewing calculations and drawings, and overseeing field investigations and construction support activities. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and engaging with clients to define project scopes, deliverables, and schedules.
The Senior Engineer will help ensure work quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient project execution while contributing to business development through proposal input and occasional client presentations.
- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Colorado PE license or ability to obtain same by endorsement
- 10 years of previous work experience in solid waste management, site/civil, and stormwater design
- Project management, client management, proposal writing, oral, and written communication skills beneficial
- Capability to work well individually and in groups/teams
- Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, HydroCAD, and other related civil engineering software applications
- Familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations for waste disposal and mining sites
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certified
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
