Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Denver, CO office.
Your role- Assist project engineers with water resources analyses, design development, and technical tasks while gaining hands‑on experience in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering.
- Support the delivery of water resources projects by contributing to data collection, modeling, calculations, and engineering evaluations.
- Help communicate design concepts and technical recommendations through engineering drawings, exhibits, reports, and construction documents.
- Participate in the preparation and organization of project deliverables, including design data, plan sets, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn industry standards, engineering practices, and project delivery processes.
- Develop technical and professional skills through mentorship, training, and exposure to a variety of water resources and infrastructure projects.
- EXPERIENCE:
- No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate'S or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
- SPECIAL
SKILLS:- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station (preferred)

Additional informationExpected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
