Distribution Project Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office at the Lipan Distribution Center

- Pay Rate: $42.00–$44.00 / Hour (USD)

Core business hours are 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM; flexibility with work schedules can be discussed depending on circumstances - Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
This Engineer position supports the planning, design, and execution of gas infrastructure projects
. The role involves project scoping, engineering design, cost estimating, regulatory compliance, and construction support for new and replacement pipeline assets. The engineer works closely with Project Management, Operations, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with 49 CFR Part 192 and internal company standards. Each engineer is an individual contributor with their own portfolio of projects, while the greater team is highly supportive and collaborative of each other's work.
- Update project tracking list with current project status
- Prepare design drawings and service spreadsheets
- Research existing asset information
- Prepare and/or review operating procedures
- Prepare project Stage Gate documentation
- Attend meetings:
Project CFTs, trainings, staff meetings, coordination meetings, etc. - Visit project field locations for planning or construction support
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or a similar CAD program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated and organized
- More than 4 years toward a bachelor's degree (no large gaps in education or employment preferred)
- Engineering degree required
- No previous experience required; entry-level candidates with an engineering degree are welcome
Physical Requirements
- Engineer is encouraged to visit project field locations for planning or construction support
- Varying field conditions present different hazards that are typically discussed and identified on site
- PPE required for field work
- Non-local candidates willing to relocate for the life of the assignment at their own expense will be considered
- Interview format:
Virtual with video; one round of interviews - Possibility for conversion to a permanent position if an opening becomes available
- Approximately 1 month of initial training/ramp-up time
