Information Technology Designer

An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Technology Designer/Engineer to design ICT and low-voltage systems for healthcare, education, transportation, commercial, and mission-critical projects.

This position will support projects from initial site assessments and client meetings through design, coordination, and construction administration.

• Design structured cabling, fiber-optic infrastructure, telecommunications rooms, backbone and horizontal cabling, and network pathways
• Prepare drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate designs with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural teams
• Perform site surveys and existing-conditions assessments
• Participate in client meetings and coordinate with owners, contractors, and vendors
• Support construction administration through RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists
• Perform QA/QC and ensure designs comply with TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable industry standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of ICT, telecommunications, or low-voltage design experience
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and telecommunications systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD;
  Revit experience preferred
• Strong communication, coordination, and project-management skills
• RCDD, CCNA, DCDC, OSP or PE designation is a plus
• Healthcare, mission-critical, commercial, or higher education experience is preferred

• $80,000-$120,000 salary, depending on experience
