Job Overview & Responsibilities As a Quality Engineer 2 in Denver, CO, responsibilities include:
Performs development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished material products. Collaborates with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and contractual requirements are properly flowed down to suppliers. Responsible for the implementation of methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment throughout the procurement process.
Audits processes, reviews build documentation, and performs physical walkdowns of hardware to verify conformance/compliance. Responsible for the control and disposition of nonconforming products, Material Review Board, causal analysis & corrective action, corrective action effectiveness / reliability and documentation, design for manufacturability and inspection planning. Collaborates on the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; supports quality assurance tests;
and performs analysis to assess the cost of and determination of responsibility, for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Establishes, expands, and effectively communicates quality data collection and analysis to empower risk management, continuous improvement, and integrated project teams throughout the enterprise.
Required Education Bachelor Required Years of Experience Minimum of 2 years of related work experience Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge and understanding or experience with one or more of the following:
Composites, machined components and assemblies Quality metrics development and analysis Contract/SOW generation & review Root Cause Analysis Corrective Action-Preventive Action Disciplines Cause and Effect Analysis experience Formal Auditor Training in ISO
9000/AS9100 Project Management Skills Green Belt training/certification Statistical Process Control (SPC) Ability to lead medium to large, complex, and dynamic projects to successful completion Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Ability to plan and maintain schedule adherence for assigned work scope Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills Demonstrated group presentation skills Ability to work on-site or at a supplier facility with limited travel (up to 25%) Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering) At least 2 years industry experience in Quality Engineering as it relates to Pedigree Reviews, Product Development, Supply Chain Management, Production, or equivalent Experience working closely with multiple suppliers and customers in a remote or hybrid environment Knowledge and understanding or experience with all the following:

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $73,401.00 - $ Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
