Position OverviewElectrical Project Engineer – 1 in Greenwood Village, CO (Denver metro area). You will lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for low‑to‑moderate complexity projects within the commercial interiors and tenant improvement markets, providing engineering solutions and client advice.
Responsibilities- Lead the analysis and design of electrical systems, creating detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code and IMEG standards.
- Interact with clients to understand needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information; build and maintain client relationships.
- Support project execution within fast‑paced consulting projects at the commercial interiors and tenant improvement market.
- Plan, schedule tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Document design decisions and monitor project progress, including percent complete and fee expended.
- Analyze engineering problems, propose innovative solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants.
- Evaluate and reuse existing electrical systems for renovation projects.
- Provide in‑process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet client and industry standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Prioritize safety and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager.
- Oversee projects through the construction administration phase and provide solution‑based communication to clients.
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and planning of technical plans and specifications.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics for building electrical systems.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard engineering software: lighting photometric tools (AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting), power system analysis tools (SKM/PTW, Easy Power), energy compliance tools (Com Check), Adobe or Bluebeam Revu, and reference resources (NFPA Link, Tech Street, MadCAD, FGI).
- Knowledge of IES Standards, Master Specification editing (eSPECS), BIM software, CTC Revit Add‑In tools, and Smart Engineering Design Assist (SET).
- Ability to make design decisions quickly, manage multiple projects, train less experienced staff, and communicate effectively in oral and written form.
- Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
- Minimum 3 years (4 preferred) of experience in building design consulting, with demonstrated experience in commercial interiors and tenant improvement markets.
- Alternatively, associate’s degree or certificate in BIM or engineering (preferred) with 6 years (8 preferred) of experience in building design consulting or construction.

Salary Range: $92,000 – $123,000 (varies by location and qualifications). Compensation may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
