We have a customer in Denver, CO who has an IMMEDIATE long-term DIRECT HIRE position for a Mechanical Designer who has experience with the design, modeling and drafting support for large bulk material handling systems that are used in the mining industry. This on-site role is based in Denver, CO.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will assist the Structural and Mechanical Engineering Team in CAD modeling and drafting of large bulk material handling equipment using AUTOCAD, ADVANCED STEEL (preferred but not required), SOLIDWORKS and/or INVENTOR. You will gather information and produce CAD drawings for specific projects, review drawings for accuracy, and update drawings for customer approval and prepare drawings for fabrication. You will provide mentorship and feedback to other CAD technicians and Jr.
Designers.
- This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position in the Denver, CO area and must be worked on-site
- Salary range for this position is in the $95,000 to $105,000 range
- AAS or BS Degree in Engineering preferred with SIX or more years experience in the design of large bulk material handling, mining or similar equipment (conveyors, chutes, mixers, etc.)
- Experience and proficiency with AUTOCAD (2D/3D), SOLIDWORKS or INVENTOR CAD, ADVANCED Steel (preferred but not required)
- Ability to support Mechanical and Structural Engineering Groups, gather information, prepare detailed and fabrication drawings, provide detailed dimensional calculations to verify layouts
- Ability to mentor Jr. Designer/Drafters
- Ability to speak Spanish or German also a huge plus
