* serves as a senior technical leader within Tasman's Engineering & Consulting group, providing expertise, guidance, and strategic direction across large projects, client programs, and cross-functional teams.

This role is responsible for defining technical approaches, reviewing complex environmental projects, supporting innovation initiatives, mentoring staff, and helping drive successful project execution. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced environmental professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while supporting the development of project teams and technical programs.

* What You'll Be Doing
** Technical Leadership & Environmental Expertise
** Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex environmental projects and sites
* Review environmental investigations, remediation strategies, and corrective action approaches
* Evaluate and support implementation of innovative remedial technologies and solutions
* Serve as a technical resource for project teams, clients, and leadership
* Support company-wide technical initiatives and best practices
* Project Support & Technical Reviews
** Review and provide guidance on work plans, technical reports, and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
* Assist project teams with project scoping, planning, scheduling, and technical execution
* Support project managers in managing project risks, deliverables, and client expectations
* Help define project priorities and technical objectives
* Ensure technical consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects
* Leadership, Mentorship & Collaboration
** Mentor and train environmental scientists, geologists, engineers, and project staff
* Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate technical resources across projects
* Foster accountability, ownership, and collaboration within project teams
* Support workforce development and technical growth initiatives
* Provide high-level technical problem solving and decision support
* Strategic & Organizational Support
** Contribute to development of technical standards, methodologies, and best practices
* Support innovation efforts and continuous improvement initiatives
* Influence technical direction for major projects and client programs
* Collaborate with engineering, construction, EHS, and project controls teams to achieve project objectives
* What You Bring
** Required
* * Relevant technical diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent higher education in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, engineering, remediation, or oil & gas sectors
* Specialized knowledge of environmental investigation and remediation practices
* Demonstrated experience supporting projects of varying size, scope, and complexity
* Experience collaborating with EHS, engineering, construction, and project controls teams
* Advanced technical problem-solving abilities
* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent technical writing and document preparation skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to influence outcomes and drive collaboration across teams
