Disciplines/What You’ll Do
Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you may support a variety of mechanical engineering projects related to mining, water resources, and hydropower infrastructure, including:
- Assist in applying mechanical engineering principles to develop safe, economical, and innovative design solutions.
- Assist with technical analyses, calculations, and modeling, including Newtonian and non-Newtonian pump/pipe systems, rheology evaluations, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and 3D layout modeling.
- Assist in the development of engineering drawings including plans and specifications based on calculations.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning, design, and execution.
Here's what we are looking for...
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhDin Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Students entering their junior year, senior year, or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in developing engineering and technical skills in a consulting environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and deliver quality work.
- Ability to use sound judgment and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to travel to project and field locations as needed.
- Interest in learning/applying mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Civil 3D preferred.
Compensation
In accordance with Colorado state law, the hourly pay range for this position is: $25.00 - $30.00 an hour. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on experience, education, and skill level.
