DOTI is seeking an innovative and experienced transportation professional to serve as a Specialist on the Traffic Engineering and Safety (TES) team - a high-performing team responsible for ensuring the safety, performance, and reliability of Denver’s transportation system. TES includes two main work areas –
1) review & regulate; and
2) programmatic safety projects. This position will primarily focus on managing a team around TES’s programmatic safety project work – including work on Area Engineering, Pedestrian Crossing, Traffic Calming, Traffic Signal (corridor retiming), Bikeways, and Transit programs. This position will champion Vision Zero and the Safe Systems approach, bringing both deep technical expertise and proven management skills to foster innovation and sound project process, and support staff’s growth and development.

This position will report directly to the TES Senior Manager. As the Engineer Specialist, you will:
