Broadcast Operations Specialist

Location: Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Schedule: 24/7 Operation - Flexible Shifts Required

Job Summary

We are looking for a Broadcast Operations Specialist to join a Network Operations team responsible for maintaining reliable, high-quality television programming. This position will support on-air monitoring, programming quality control, playlist management, commercial integration, and live-event workflows.

The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, technically comfortable, and able to react quickly when broadcast issues occur.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor live and recorded television programming.
  • Conduct detailed QC checks of audio, video, captions, and visual presentation.
  • Review programming schedules and verify material readiness.
  • Manage and update automation playlists.
  • Execute programming, promotional, and commercial changes.
  • Support live events and contingency programming workflows.
  • Monitor multiple channel streams and identify irregularities.
  • Troubleshoot on-air discrepancies and coordinate timely recovery.
  • Ensure commercial breaks roll accurately during live and taped programming.
  • Communicate operational changes with production teams.
  • Work collaboratively with Network Operations personnel.
  • Learn and operate broadcast automation and media management systems.
Required Skills
  • Broadcast, television, media operations, or production experience.
  • Understanding of on-air workflows and television production.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fully onsite availability in Denver, CO.
Preferred

Experience with
Master Control, Broadcast QC, Playout, Transmission, SNELL Morpheus, Amagi, or Production Control Rooms is highly desirable.
