Overview
Edge Rock Wealth Management is expanding its Family Office services and is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Planning Strategist (CPA) to work directly with advisors, families, and business owners. RoleYour time will be intentionally split across two high‑impact client segments:
High‑Net‑Worth Families ($1M–$7M in assets)- Manage and oversee straightforward 1040s with a planning‑first lens
- Lead proactive strategies including:

- Participate directly in client meetings with advisors as a trusted tax voice
- Lead tax strategy for business owners with complex, multi‑entity structures, designing and implementing sophisticated planning such as:
- Entity structure optimization
- Advanced deductions (cost segregation, depreciation strategies)
- Advanced retirement vehicles:
- Cash Balance Plans
- Solo 401(k) s
- Mega Backdoor Roths
- Strategic use of trusts and tax credits to preserve generational wealth
- Speak at small events with our investment team to present Edge Rock’s value to prospective clients
- Participate in our Rock Talk podcast and thought leadership initiatives
- Help shape and grow our small business owner vertical within the firm
- Impact over Volume – Work with a curated group of clients and see the real results of your advice
- True Work‑Life Balance – High performance without high burnout, even during peak seasons
- Build Your Own Team – As the practice grows, you’ll help hire and lead Enrolled Agents (EAs) to handle preparation so you can stay focused on strategy
- Career Growth – You’re not just an employee; you’re a foundational member of a growing RIA with a seat at the table as we scale
- Licensed CPA with ~2–5 years of tax experience
- (Exposure to HNW individuals or business owners preferred)
- Strategic thinker who looks for white space—legally and ethically—to minimize tax burden
- Strong communicator who can explain concepts like cost segregation or NUA clearly and confidently
- Entrepreneurial and excited to help build, refine, and market a growing service offering
- Competitive base salary
- Performance‑based bonus tied to growth of this business line
- Comprehensive benefits package
