What You’ll Tackle:

• Lead the charge on all indirect tax filings across the U.S. and Canada—sales & use, GST, PST, property tax, and regulatory filings.
• Be a tax strategist—conduct research and develop smart, forward-looking approaches to reduce tax exposure.
• Manage complexity with clarity—run nexus studies, navigate registrations, and stay ahead of multi-jurisdictional challenges.
• Own audit defense—negotiate property tax assessments and build solid cases backed by data.
• Run a tight ship—keep a meticulous filing calendar and never miss a deadline.
• Drive transformation—identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
• Support what’s next—weigh in on M&A activity and new initiatives with proactive tax insights.
• Lead and mentor—grow a top-tier internal team or manage external partners with confidence.
• Be a trusted partner—collaborate across departments to mitigate risk and increase efficiency.
• Push for smarter systems—help build a more automated, intelligent tax function.

What You Bring to the Table:

• 6+ years of experience in indirect and/or property tax
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• High attention to detail and ability to simplify the complex
• Experience leading people or managing high-impact projects
• Strong communication skills and confidence working cross-functionally
• Comfortable in Excel, and experienced with ERP systems (Net Suite a plus)
• Bonus points for experience in a regulated industry
