As a Director you will be in a senior‑level leadership position responsible for executing the division’s strategic plan and guiding your team in achieving the bank’s annual growth and customer retention targets. You will lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen relationships with customers. You will also lead the growth of the Private Banking team’s general portfolio within the Regional Banking business line.
- Liaise with regional and national leadership to execute the bank’s strategic plan, focusing on growing the loan and deposit portfolio in the assigned region or business line.
- Execute the tactical strategy for transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets, guiding the credit structuring development process and presenting to senior and divisional loan committees.
- Manage portfolio health, proactively address deteriorating loan performance, and mitigate risks from market developments and service delivery complications.
- Build strong relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, and other internal support departments and third‑party services) and facilitate compliance with technical processes and risk mitigation.
- Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
- At least 9 years of related experience.
- Experience in the VC lending space.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations (deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services).
- Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and market‑specific awareness.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- Travel up to 50%.
Compensation
Salary range: $182,000 – $231,548 (Denver, CO). Salary determined by role. Eligible for annual bonus/incentives and restricted stock.
