The Role As a Tax Associate, you’ll step into a key role on our growing Tax Team, where you’ll help deliver high-quality tax preparation, compliance, and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and their related entities. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced Tax Strategists and our Wealth Management team, giving you the opportunity to contribute to integrated, thoughtful client solutions from day one.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across multiple financial disciplines within a nationally recognized RIA. You’ll build meaningful skills, work alongside seasoned professionals, and have access to long-term opportunities to grow your career and deepen your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, trusts, estates, and gifts
- Assist with tax compliance and strategic planning engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses
- Coordinate the collection and organization of client tax information and manage engagement workflow timelines
- Research federal, state, and local tax matters and communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders
- Support the development and refinement of scalable tax policies and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Wealth Management and other business lines to deliver holistic client solutions
- Keep partners and client service teams informed on engagement progress and key issues
- Serve as liaison with third-party outsourced providers when applicable
- Participate in client proposals and new business opportunities as needed
- Manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines, including occasional extended hours during peak filing periods
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or MST preferred (or actively pursuing certification)
- Three to four years of relevant tax experience in a CPA firm, RIA, or financial services environment preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Lacerte or similar tax software preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Self-starter who demonstrates accountability and ownership
- Collaborative team player aligned with our values of teamwork and inclusion
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
The base salary will be commensurate with an individual's work experience and educational background.
