Indirect Tax Manager; Production Industry

A leading manufacturing powerhouse is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager who’s ready to take full ownership of the indirect tax function. In this role, you’ll be the strategic driver behind compliance, audits, process improvements, and cross‑functional tax guidance. Reporting to the Director of Tax, you’ll influence decisions across the organization and help build a scalable, future‑ready tax environment.

• Oversee U.S. sales & use tax and Canadian GST compliance from end to end
• Manage audits and reverse audits
  , including negotiations, documentation, and risk mitigation
• Support tax planning
  , technical research, and broader strategic initiatives
• Administer and optimize capital investment incentive programs to maximize available credits
• Train purchasing, sales, and other internal teams on indirect tax implications
• Own the administration of Thomson Reuters Indirect Tax Compliance tools
• Lead and develop a team of two while coordinating with external CPA firms
• Manage property tax processes and support global VAT coordination

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (
  MST/CPA a plus
  )
• 7+ years of indirect tax experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similarly complex environment
• Strong command of audit management, compliance strategy, and technical research
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing high‑performing teams
• Excellent communication and the ability to partner effectively across departments
• Experience with SAP and Thomson Reuters tax systems
